Ricci, the fourth child born to Sarah Murdoch and Ralph Ricci from Santa Monica in California was the oldest. Her mother worked as a Ford Agency model in the 1960s, and later became a real estate agent. Her father was a lawyer and also a drug counsellor, primal theraputic therapy and a gymnastics instructor. Ricci claimed she believed that her Italian family heritage is the consequence of her surname that she carries. Five or six generations ago the Italian couple married an Irish woman. They had a family of children. There were more children born, and more Irish wives were married. The family of Ricci moved from Italy and moved to Montclair, New Jersey.
