
Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston Texas in her mother's dance studio. In her toddler years, she appeared on TV for the first time around two. After ten years in dancing and singing Her mother and her traveled for a trip to L.A. to try and determine if a show-business career was possible. Within two months, she landed her first work: dancing alongside Danny Kaye on The Danny Kaye Show. She says "I utilized my education as a dancer and singer in a variety of ways." "The mental discipline gained from this is fantastic as an actor." Her first role as an actor was My Three Sons, followed by appearances in Gunsmoke, The Partridge Family, The Mod Squad, and Hawaii Five-O. One of her greatest loves, despite her successes in film and on television was theatre. The time her stint on Smallville came to an end, she chose to pursue theater as her primary focus, which she has been doing over the last decade. When she moved to New York, she had her debut on stage in The Sea Gull. She's appeared in a variety of off Broadway productions, including Adam Rapp's "Kindness", Tracy Letts Man from Nebraska and Tennessee Williams A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
